User Data Deletion

SLK Projects (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”) takes your privacy seriously. This page explains how to request deletion of any personal information we hold about you, including any data we have received through Meta/Facebook login or other Meta platform integrations.

What we may hold

Depending on how you have interacted with us, we may hold:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number (submitted via our contact form or questionnaire).
  • Project information you have shared with us (briefs, requirements, files).
  • Marketing-attribution metadata (UTM parameters, referring page, anonymous device identifiers).
  • If you used a third-party login (e.g. Facebook): your name, email, profile picture, and the Meta-provided user identifier — only to the extent you authorised us to receive it.
  • Records of communications between us (emails, messages, notes).

How to request deletion

You have two options:

Option 1 — Email us

Send an email to info@slkprojects.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Please include:

  • The full name and email address you used when contacting us.
  • If applicable, the Facebook/Meta account or page through which you connected with us.
  • A brief statement that you want your data deleted.

Option 2 — Use our contact form

Visit our contact page and submit a message stating that you wish to have your data deleted. Please include the same identifying details listed above.

What happens next

  1. We will acknowledge your request within 2 working days at the email address you provided.
  2. We will verify your identity (this may involve a brief reply confirming a recent interaction or details only you would know).
  3. We will delete or anonymise the personal data we hold about you within 30 calendar days of verifying your request, unless we are legally required to retain it (for example, tax or contractual records — in which case we will tell you which records and for how long).
  4. We will confirm completion by email. Where data was shared with downstream processors (such as our customer-relationship and email tools), we will instruct those processors to delete the data as well.

Data received via Meta platforms

If we received your data because you logged in with Facebook or interacted with us via a Meta app (page message, lead form, etc.), the same process applies — we will delete the data on our side. We do not control your data inside Meta itself. To remove our app from your Facebook profile and revoke its access to your Meta data, visit your Facebook settings at https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications, find the SLK Projects app, and remove it. Facebook will then notify us, and we will delete the data we received from your Meta account.

Data shared with the TikTok Pixel

When you submit our contact form, we send a SHA-256 hash of your email address (and phone number, if provided) to TikTok via the TikTok Pixel so TikTok can match your engagement to its advertising campaigns. We never send your raw email or phone number. Hashes cannot be reversed. To request that TikTok delete the matched record on its side, follow TikTok’s instructions at https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/global/privacy-policy/en. Asking us to delete your data (via either option above) will also stop any further hashed events being sent.

Your rights under POPIA / GDPR

In addition to deletion (also known as the “right to erasure”), you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, or restriction of processing. To exercise any of these rights, email info@slkprojects.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
